High School Redesign Sessions

Last night we hosted our parent input session on the High School Redesign Committee’s work.  Approximately fifty parents were present and asked a LOT of very good questions.  I hope they found the information helpful to them and they were able to leave with a sound understanding of the options that will be before the School Board.

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with students over their lunch period about the same topic.  I was joined by Kirsten Schowalter, a junior here at Mayo, who was the student representative for the committee.  She did a fantastic job of speaking with the students about the scheduling options and in answering their questions.  I did promise the students today, and the parents last night, that I would place a copy of the Power Point on this blog so they could review the same information that was shared.  Hopefully, this works and I am able to attach that file below.  If not, our webmaster will be sure to place it on the front page of our website.

Thursday evening the committee will reconvene to review the input and questions that were gathered by the committee members at those input sessions.  From there, we will continue to work on our recommendations to the School Board.

Talk to you soon.

***Having some tech issues here, so we will attach the slide show on the front page of the Mayo website.
